XCGIRNS(Safe) series switch cabinet is a gas fully insulated compact ring network cabinet jointly produced by combining ABB's core technology and our company's many years of manufacturing experience. The product adopts modular design and can realize the perfect unity of common box unit and extended unit (independent gas box) according to any combination of different design schemes. It is not only suitable for the requirements of network nodes or user terminals, but also meets the flexible application requirements of various secondary substations for compact switch cabinets.
The core element of XCGIRNS series switchgear adopts the new SF6 gas insulated medium voltage switchgear-Safe series switch developed by ABB. The Safe series switch is a completely sealed system with all live parts and switches enclosed in a stainless steel housing. The entire switching device is not affected by external environmental conditions, so that operational reliability and personal safety can be ensured, and maintenance-free is realized. By selecting the expandable bus bar, any combination can be realized to achieve safe modularization. Safe series switches can also provide factory automation solutions, forming the concept of intelligent switches, and on-site installation and commissioning workload to a minimum.
XCGIRNS(Safe) series products have passed the type test certification of the national high-voltage electrical test center, and can be widely used in small secondary power distribution stations, box-type switching stations, working conditions, airports, railways, commercial areas, high-rise buildings, highways, Subway and other places with harsh natural conditions.

  • 1) Unity

    The co-box unit and the extended unit are perfectly unified. In order to meet the market demand, XCGlRNS(Safe) series switch cabinet of the common box unit and expansion unit adopts a common technology platform, so that the common box unit is integrated into a subset of the expansion unit, reducing the complexity of the product.
     

    2) Flexible expansion

    XCGlRNS(Safe) co-box unit is 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6-way standard configuration, and other equipment is attached according to customer requirements. The common box unit can be configured with up to 6 modules in the same SF6 insulated gas chamber, which can provide 16 combinations for the power distribution network and adapt to most occasions where ring network units are needed.
    The expansion unit (independent gas box) has extremely special flexibility due to its combination of full module and half module and its own scalability. The extended unit can be configured with up to 6 modules in the same SF6 insulated gas chamber. When the number of modules is more than 6, the switch cabinet needs to be connected by top extension bus to realize semi-modular structure, and the full module configuration can also be realized by using extension bus between all modules. Through the combination of 9 different functional modules, a power distribution scheme from simple to complex can be formed to meet the various configuration requirements of secondary substations and switching stations.
     

    3) Compact structure

    Except for the circuit breaker CB cabinet and the air-insulated metering cabinet, all modules are only 325mm wide and the metering cabinet width is 696mm;CB cabinet has three widths: 446/500/696mm. The cable connection sleeves of all units have the same height to the ground, which is convenient for on-site construction.
     

    4) Complete protection function

    XCGlRNS(Safe) design provides two options for the protection of the transformer: load switch fuse combination and circuit breaker with relay protection. The load switch fuse combination is used for transformers of 160OkVA and below, while the circuit breaker with relay protection can be used for transformer protection of various capacities. At the same time, the design of XCGIRNS(Safe) also provides two options for circuit breakers for line protection: both circuit breakers are VG series vacuum circuit breakers and are sealed in SF6 boxes. The rated current of the V module is 630A, and the rated current of the CB module can reach 1250A.

    5) Maintenance-free
    All high-voltage live parts are located in the stainless steel box body, and the box shell is sealed and welded with stainless steel. The protection level is IP67, even if the fuse chamber is used, it has IP67 protection level. It can be installed in wet, sandy, dusty, salt, mines, box-type substations and any places where surface pollution flashover is easily caused by air pollution without taking special precautions. The extended bus is fully insulated and shielded to ensure that it is not affected by changes in the external environment and is maintenance-free, without bus cleaning and anti-small animals.

    6) High reliability
    All live parts are enclosed in SF6 gas chamber. The switch has a reliable pressure relief channel. It has passed the internal arcing test of 20kA/ls. The load and grounding switches are three-position switches, which simplifies the interlock between each other. There is a reliable mechanical interlock between the cable chamber cover plate and the load switch, and the incoming unit can be equipped with an arc extinguisher. Selecting this function can meet the needs of internal arc suppression, at this time, the switch may not be provided with SF6 pressure relief channel.
